As part of this commitment, STR has developed an award nominated training and development programme, trained by CIPD CTP qualified Trainers.
The STR Training Academy is dedicated to sourcing and training new talent across the STR Group.
Academy Trainees are offered a comprehensive introduction to the recruitment industry, which is delivered with a mixture of theoretical and practical training sessions covering a variety of subjects, including:
- Understanding the Recruitment Marketplace
- Essential Legislation and Procedures
- The Relationship with the Business Community
- The Relationship with the Candidate
All participants are given a rare opportunity to learn all about their new industry before joining their team and developing a desk.
The quality of STR’s Training Academy has been accredited by the recruitment industry’s trade body The REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) and on completion of the training all new employees will sit an exam which, if successful, will award an industry qualification: the Certificate in Recruitment Practice.
The Certificate in Recruitment Practice is a nationally recognised qualification developed by the REC and various key employers. It enables an individual to gain background knowledge of recruitment practices so that their job can be undertaken with confidence.
